The Department of Education Studies of Dambai College of Education is the Centre for research in teaching at the Basic School levels in Ghana.

The focus of the department is on research, principles and methods of teaching related to the improvement of performance in the quality of teachers at the basic school level. The education courses run in the department includes; Principles and Practice of Education, Principles and Methods of Teaching in Basic School, Trends and School Management in Education, Guidance and Counseling, Special Needs Education, Child and Adolescent Development and Learning, Assessment in Basic Schools, Research Methods in Education, On-Campus Teaching Practice, Off-Campus Teaching Practice, Action Research Work.
