DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS / ICT

Mathematics/ICT is a critical skill which enables scientific and technological improvement and is fundamental to all forms of commerce. Most of the pronounced innovations that have changed the way people live over two centuries were empowered by Mathematics/ICT and our dependence on these key areas of education continues to increase. The wide range of courses offered in the department and the logical, analytic, and computational skills acquired, enable the graduates of Dambai College of Education to teach Mathematics/ICT at the Basic Education levels in Ghana and beyond. The core mandate of the Department is to train, the student teachers to acquire the skills and competencies that will enable them to teach Mathematics and ICT at the Basic Schools in the country which has been effectively and efficiently carried out over the years in the Department. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has transformed the world and its value in teacher education cannot be overstated.

The Department manages the ICT Unit of the college headed by Nelson Kudzo Soh who developed the college website and hosted by Nakroteck Ghana. The Department runs both Mathematics and ICT courses
