Model Teaching at DACE Demonstration School – Basic four

Watch a model teaching by a level 200 student at DACEDEMO Basic four on 29th March, 2017.

The teacher trainee is teaching Integrated Science and the topic is Properties of Metal. During his lesson delivery, the class teacher (Mentor) and a team of college tutors are assigned to observe the teaching and give a feedback to the trainee using a lesson observation feedback tool designed by the T-TEL Challenge Fund team.

This is an innovative approach to practical teaching adopted by the college to give chance to the second year students to practice teaching in real classrooms unlike forming smaller groups to teach their peers as part of On-Campus Teaching Practice.

wow, a nice initiative by my own college. Try to have more of such demonstrations so that students can watch and prepare themselves.
I did my out program … 2011 there as well and by the grace of God, I have progressed to the Ph.D. level in the US.
I appreciate DACE so much for the training that I went through.
Anytime that I come to Ghana, I will surely pass through to discuss some elements that the college can add to improve the nature of teaching and learning. By the way, I graduated in 2012.
    Greeting to you all.
