The VOTI Zonal stage of the Annual Colleges of Education Quiz competition organized by the Teachers Fund of GNAT was held in St. Teresa’s College of Education, Hohoe on 6th December, 2019.
The VOTI Zone A competition was held between the host St. Teresa’s College of Education, St. Francis’s College of Education, Jasikan College of Education and Dambai College of Education.
After the four arduous rounds of contest, St. Francis’s College of Education emerged the winner with fifty (50) points, Dambai College of Education came second with forty-five (45) points, St. Teresa’s College of Education with Forty-Four (44) points was third with the fourth position going to Jasikan College of Education with Thirty-Seven (37) points.
The members of the Dambai Team included Master Williams Kumi, Level 300, Miss. Abdul Rahman Sadia, Level 200. The participants received a cashed award and a set of books as prizes.
The Principal of the College was impressed with the performance of her students and encouraged them to learn hard in order to take the ultimate prize next year.
The Quiz competition organized by the Teachers Fund serves as part of the Funds’ education initiative among teacher trainees across the nation. It is an opportunity to educate and enlighten college students about the operations of the Fund and the benefits members enjoy when they join the Fund.
It is to position students to make informed choices and decisions when it comes to the choice of a union once they leave school and get employed.
